Adult Summer Reading Club
Programs will be held on Mondays- June 4, 11, 18, 25
Beginning at 4 pm in the Library

This is a free program sponsored by the Library and opened to everyone.

June 4th- Let the music play on. We'll talk about how music is important part of our lives. What our favorite types of music are. Play a round of musical jeopardy and enjoy some refreshments.

June 11th- "Picture the Music" presented by Vicki Robinson and Ruth Nation. Learn about a special contest sponsored each year by the St. Louis Symphony. This contest is for students in Grades K-6. Have some fun creating your own picture the music artwork. Bring buttons, ribbons, lace, and feathers to add to your creation. Everything else will be provided.

June 18th- Music Therapy presented by Jenifer Williams. Jen will talk about how music has played an important part in her foster child's life and growth and how it was important to her late mother-in-law's time at the nursing home. She will also play the hammered dulcimer for us.

June 25th- "Simply Strings" A traveling group of 5 women brought together by their love of old-fashioned stringed instruments. Between them, they have 4 mountain dulcimers, a banjo dulcimer, bowed psaltery, violin, guitar, and a variety of rhythm instruments. They enjoy playing a variety of music and passing down a bit of the history and stories behind some of the old time melodies.

Registration begins May 29th.
Snacks will be provided at programs.
